Team profile

Brazil’s U23 team have the distinction of being the first ever winners of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship four years ago. This year’s team has the Olympic Gold Medalist at Rio 2016 Douglas Souza as the main player. The South American squad will try to snatch the gold for the second time with a collection of young talents that are already used to play in main competitions such as Brazil’s Superliga. The two times Olympic champion Giovane Gavio is the coach to lead the Brazilian National Team towards great achievements

Giovane Farinazzo Gavio

One of the most iconic brazilian player has now a different mission. Giovane Gavio who is well known as one of the most successful Brazilian volleyball player is now the coach of U-23 men’s national team. As a coach he has experience in Brazil’s Superliga, and recently was nominated to drive a new generation of players towards to a glorious future and to keep Brazil among the volleyball finest.
