I want to thank our fans - Egypt captain Deyaa

Cairo, Egypt, August 24, 2017 - Hosts Egypt scored their third straight win here Thursday at the FIVB Men's U23 World Championship Egypt and from the captain's side there was praise once again for the support of the fans.

Egypt coach, Marcos Miranda: "I congratulate my team and I also congratulate the Chinese team for their performance today. I tried a lot of tactics to stop the Chinese attack but they also changed their tactics in playing and made things difficult for us. China were very fast but we managed to deal with their speed and we succeeded in winning a hard match."

Egypt captain, Ahmed Deyaa: "Thank God for this win. We played against a different school of volleyball and Chinese volleyball is a great one, very fast in attacking. But our plan succeeded to deal with their speed. I want to thank our fans for supporting the team throughout the tournament. They played a key role in our victories. For the second time I thank the coach for his useful instructions and the same thanks goes to all the team staff, especially the medical staff."

China coach, Ju Genyin: "I congratulate the Egyptian team. There were a lot of chances of offense and easy points to win but my players couldn't take advantage of them. The preparation of the team was not sufficient. The Egyptian team started the match very tense but we couldn't use this for our side. I hope that my players learn from these matches and get a lot of experience."

China captain, Xu Zhensen: "Firstly, I congratulate Egypt for this victory. Our lack of confidence led our team to lose many easy points. We had a lot of attacking attempts but we could not use them well."
