Preparations have begun at the Cairo Stadium Complex ahead of the U23 World Championship from August 18 to 25.
Cairo, Egypt, August 1, 2017 - Preparations for the FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship at the Cairo Stadium Complex have begun as Egypt look forward to hosting the competition from August 18 to 25.
The venue, which also hosted the 2001 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, is being equipped with new flooring for the competition.

The Egyptian national team has also prepared for the competition by playing a series of friendlies against local teams. Egypt will also take on Turkey and China in friendlies ahead of the World Championship in the country's capital.
