China see off Algeria in straight sets

 Cairo, Egypt, August 21, 2017- China cut one more step towards a second round ticket as they cruised past  Algeria 4-0 (17-15, 15-13, 15-7, 15-11) in Pool B match at Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt on Monday. 


All matches in Cairo are played under a new scoring system currently being tested: a best-of-seven, 15-point set format.

 
Outside hitter Yuantai Yu contributed 12 crucial points for his team as the match best scorer, While opposite attacker Akram Dekkiche scored 11 points as best scorer from his side. 

 Steady defensive action beside effective service briefs the domination of the Asian team throughout the match, which improved Chinese win- loss ratio to 2-2 compared to the Algerian team which still winless with 0-4 record.
